18A:24-21.Ā Manner of authorization of bonds in excess of certain limitations
Such bonds shall be authorized and may be issued:
a.Ā for the purposes of a type I district, when--
(1) an ordinance authorizing the issuance of said bonds which shall conformĀ with the provisions of section 18A:24-22, shall be adopted by the recorded rollĀ call affirmative vote of two thirds of the full membership of the governingĀ body of the municipality comprised within the district;Ā or
(2) such ordinance shall be adopted by a recorded roll call affirmative majority vote of the full membership, of such governing body, of less than a two-thirds affirmative vote of such full membership and subsequently a proposition confirming said ordinance is adopted by the legally qualified voters of the municipality upon its submission to them, for their approval or rejection in the form prescribed in section 18A:24-22 at a municipal or generalĀ election or at a special election held for the purpose pursuant to sectionĀ 18A:24-29;Ā or
b.Ā by a type II district, when a proposal authorizing the issuance of saidĀ bonds which conforms with the provisions of section 18A:24-22, shall be adoptedĀ by resolution of the board of education of the district, and shall be approvedĀ by the legally qualified voters of the district, upon its submission to themĀ for their approval or rejection in the form conforming with the provisions ofĀ section 18A:24-22, at a regular school election or a special election held forĀ the purpose.
