18A:36-24.Ā Missing children;Ā legislative findings and declarations
The legislature finds and declares:
a.Ā That there is a growing recognition of the prevalence and consequences of child abuse.
b.Ā That the removal of children from school constitutes a deprivation in itself and may be an indicator of even more grievous abuses.
c.Ā That the public schools can and should provide an early warning to the appropriate authorities when a child appears to be missing from the educationalĀ system.
