18A:38-10.Ā  Attendance outside of state
Any board of education of a district may arrange for the attendance of any or all of the pupils of the district in the public school or schools of an adjacent school district outside of the state, if it shall determine that it isĀ  advisable so to do in order to secure better school facilities for the pupilsĀ  or for reasons of economy or other good cause and that it is inadvisable forĀ  said pupils to attend public schools in another school district within theĀ  state because of the distance to be traveled, the topography of the interveningĀ  country, the condition of the roads or the likelihood of unusual hazardousĀ  traveling conditions during certain seasons of the year, and if theĀ  commissioner shall concur in the determination of the board and give hisĀ  consent thereto, but the commissioner may withdraw such consent upon reasonableĀ  notice whenever the reason or reasons for giving his consent shall cease toĀ  exist.
