18A:60-9.Ā Tenure by exceptional action after 2 years service
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 3 of this act a board of trusteesĀ may, as an exceptional action and upon the recorded two-thirds majority rollĀ call vote of all its members and upon the recommendation of the president,Ā grant tenure to an individual faculty member after employment in such collegeĀ or by such board of trustees for 2 consecutive academic years. The provisionsĀ of this section shall not be negotiable as a term and condition of employmentĀ under theĀ "New Jersey Employer-Employee Relations Act,"Ā P.L.1968, c. 303.
