18A:8-3.1.Ā Assumption of indebtedness for money or property upon annexation
When a municipality or a part thereof is annexed to another municipality andĀ there is within the limits of the municipality or part thereof which is annexed, a schoolhouse or property formerly belonging to the board of educationĀ of the school district situated in such municipality, any indebtedness of suchĀ board of education for the erection, purchase, furnishing or repair of suchĀ schoolhouse or property shall be assumed by and become the obligation of theĀ board of education of the school district of the annexing municipality.
