19:45-9.Ā Compensation of county and municipal clerks
The boards of chosen freeholders in the several counties may pay the countyĀ clerks for extra duties and services imposed upon and performed by them underĀ this title an amount to be fixed by such boards.Ā The governing bodies of theĀ several municipalities may pay the municipal clerks for extra duties andĀ services imposed upon and performed by them under this title an amount to beĀ fixed by such governing body.
