2A:4A-81.Ā Other referrals
a.Ā The juvenile-family crisis intervention unit shall also receive referrals on a continuous basis in situations where a juvenile-family crisis exists and there has been either:
(1) A request by a parent or juvenile for intervention;Ā or
(2) A referral by a public or private agency, educational institution, or any other organization serving children, which has contact with the juvenile orĀ family, and has reasonable cause to believe that a family crisis exists.
b.Ā Any agency or organization making such a referral shall indicate whetherĀ their agency is capable of providing the appropriate services to the family orĀ juvenile and indicate their present ability and willingness to do so in theĀ particular case referred.
c.Ā Any public agency making the referral which is under a legal obligationĀ to provide services to the family or juvenile, shall, where it is unable toĀ provide appropriate services in the particular case referred, state the reasonsĀ therefor.
