2A:44-44.Ā Statement by physician or dentist of injuries and amount of charges
Any person legally liable or against whom a claim is asserted, or his representative, for damages for injuries sustained shall, upon written request,Ā be furnished by any physician or dentist asserting a lien under this articleĀ with a statement of the injuries sustained by the injured person and anĀ itemized statement of the charges and services rendered to date.Ā Failure of aĀ physician or dentist to provide such statement shall constitute a valid defenseĀ in an action brought to enforce a lien under this article.
