2A:82-4.3.Ā Limitations of actions;Ā burden of proof
In any proceeding upon a foreign judgment, including a judgment of any courtĀ out of this State, the plaintiff, or person seeking to enforce the judgmentĀ shall have the burden of proving that the underlying cause of action which gaveĀ rise to the awarding of the foreign judgment was commenced in the foreignĀ jurisdiction within the period required by statute of this State for theĀ commencement of a like action in this State.
