26:3A2-8.Ā Health ordinances;Ā adoption;Ā enforcement
The county board of health shall, in order to perform any power delegated toĀ it or in the performance of any duty imposed upon it by law, adopt, amend andĀ repeal health ordinances and provide services necessary for the appropriateĀ control of disease and the improvement of the health of citizens. An ordinanceĀ of the county board shall be effective and enforceable only within the area ofĀ jurisdiction of the county board.
