27:1A-50.Ā  Actions or proceedings pending on effective date of this act This act shall not affect actions or proceedings, civil or criminal, broughtĀ  by or against the Division of Motor Vehicles in the Department of Law andĀ  Public Safety relating to the functions, powers and duties which have beenĀ  herein transferred to the Department of Transportation, and pending on theĀ  effective date of this act, but such actions or proceedings may be prosecutedĀ  in the same manner and to the same effect by the Department of TransportationĀ  as if the foregoing provisions had not taken effect;Ā  nor shall any of theĀ  foregoing provisions affect any order or recommendation made by, or otherĀ  matters or proceedings before, the Division of Motor Vehicles in the DepartmentĀ  of Law and Public Safety relating to the functions, powers and duties whichĀ  have been herein transferred to the Department of Transportation, and all suchĀ  matters or proceedings pending before such Division of Motor Vehicles in the Department of Law and Public Safety on the effective date of this act shall beĀ  continued by the Department of Transportation, as if the foregoing provisionsĀ  had not taken effect.
