27:7-50.Ā  Property to be part of highway system The land or water rights and the piers, wharves or docks shall become a partĀ  of the state highway system and shall be under the supervision and control ofĀ  the department, and when the piers, wharves or docks have been acquired orĀ  erected they shall be maintained by the state out of the funds appropriated,Ā  raised or collected for the use of the department.
