3B:26-2.Ā Appointment of trustee for absent person;Ā general duties and powers
If an absent person has property in this State, which property may be wastedĀ or dissipated unless proper management is provided, or where funds are neededĀ for the support, care and welfare of the person or those entitled to beĀ supported by him, and protection is necessary or desirable to obtain or provideĀ funds, the Superior Court may in a summary action appoint one or more trusteesĀ to take charge of and manage the property. The trustee shall be under theĀ direction and control of the court and shall have full power over the propertyĀ and may commence and maintain proceedings for the conservation, protection orĀ disposal of the property, or any part thereof, as the court may deem proper.
