32:23-77.Ā Federal funds
A.Ā The Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor is hereby designated on itsĀ own behalf or as agent of the State of New Jersey and the State of New York, asĀ provided by the act of Congress of the United States, effective June sixth, oneĀ thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, entitledĀ "An act to provide for theĀ establishment of a national employment system and for co-operation with theĀ States in the promotion of such system and for other purposes,"Ā as amended,Ā for the purpose of obtaining such benefits of such act of Congress as areĀ necessary or appropriate to the establishment and operation of employmentĀ information centers authorized by section one of this act.
B.Ā The commission shall have all powers necessary to co-operate with appropriate officers or agencies of either State or the United States, to take such steps to formulate such plans and to execute such projects (including but not limited to the establishment and operation of employment information centers) as may be necessary to obtain such benefits for the operation of the commission in accomplishing the purposes of this act.
C.Ā The officer or agency heretofore designated by each of the two States, pursuant to said act of June sixth, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three,Ā as amended, is authorized and empowered, upon the request of the commission andĀ subject to its direction, to exercise the powers and duties conferred upon theĀ commission by the provisions of this section.
