34:1-4.Ā Commissioner;Ā appointment, term and salary
The commissioner shall be a citizen and resident of this state, appointed byĀ the governor, by and with the advice and consent of the senate.Ā He shall holdĀ his office for the term of five years and until his successor is appointed andĀ qualified.Ā He shall receive a salary of six thousand dollars per annum.Ā HeĀ shall also be chairman of the workmen's compensation bureau and for hisĀ services in that capacity shall receive the sum of fifteen hundred dollars perĀ annum.
