39:3-52.Ā  Additional lighting equipment Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two side cowl or fenderĀ  lamps which shall emit a white or yellow light without glare.Ā  Any motorĀ  vehicle may be equipped with not more than one running board courtesy lamp onĀ  each side thereof which shall emit a white or yellow light without glare.Ā  AnyĀ  motor vehicle may be equipped with a back-up lamp either separately or inĀ  combination with another lamp;Ā  except that no such back-up lamp shall beĀ  continuously lighted when the motor vehicle is in forward motion.
