4:10-64.Ā Contributions in lieu of advance deposits;Ā repayment
In lieu of requiring advance deposits for defraying administrative advertising, sales promotion, research or education expenses, the secretary is authorized to receive and disburse for such expense purposes contributions madeĀ by producers or others.Ā Neither the council nor the secretary shall be heldĀ responsible for the repayment of such contributions.Ā Whenever the marketingĀ program accounts are sufficient to so warrant, the council shall recommend andĀ the secretary shall authorize the repayment of contributions or authorize theĀ application of such contributions to the assessment obligations of the personsĀ who made the contributions.
