4:12A-54.Ā Examination of records to determine cost of distributing milk
The Department of Agriculture is authorized to examine and study the recordsĀ and accounts of distributors of milk in New Jersey, covering such periods asĀ shall be determined by the department, for the purpose of ascertaining theĀ costs of distribution of milk and milk products, including all methods ofĀ purchases and sales and all costs of handling milk from the farm to theĀ consumer.Ā The information thus obtained shall be submitted to the Director ofĀ Milk Control for his information in determining a proper spread to cover dealerĀ costs and in fixing consumer prices.
