40A:9-51.Ā Morgues, morgue keepers;Ā appointments
The board of chosen freeholders of any county, by resolution, may designateĀ not more than 6 places to be used as county public morgues and provide forĀ their maintenance and operation.Ā The said board may appoint the morgue keepersĀ for terms of 5 years from the date of their appointments.Ā The morgue keepersĀ shall be under the supervision and direction of the county medical examiner.
