40:23-28.Ā Freeholders to furnish crushed stone to municipalities
In counties of the second, third and fifth classes in which there is a stoneĀ quarry and a stone crusher operated in connection therewith, owned and workedĀ by the county, the board of chosen freeholders shall furnish and supplyĀ therefrom, free of cost, towards the making, working, mending and repairing ofĀ the public roads and highways in the municipalities of the county, and theĀ roads and walks in public parks of such municipalities, whether the same beĀ within or without the municipal limits of the municipality, excepting improvedĀ county roads, such quantity of crushed or broken stone, and of such size orĀ sizes, as shall be requested by such municipalities, as hereinafter provided.
