40:23-6.17.Ā Care and treatment of veterans in county hospitals
Boards of chosen freeholders are authorized to enter into contracts with theĀ United States Government, or any of its agencies through the proper FederalĀ officials, for the care and treatment in any county hospital, including clinicĀ or out-patient service, of any soldier, sailor, marine or nurse under theĀ jurisdiction of the Veterans Administration of the United States Government,Ā without regard to his legal settlement, and to receive and care for suchĀ soldiers, sailors, marines and nurses upon such terms and conditions, and uponĀ such payments by the United States Government, as shall be mutually agreed uponĀ between any such board of chosen freeholders and the proper officials of theĀ United States Government.
