40:23-8.27.Ā Legislative findings
The Legislature hereby finds that there is a need for improved planning andĀ coordination among public and private agencies, organizations and institutionsĀ providing health and welfare programs and services to community residents.Ā TheĀ Legislature further finds that because private, nonprofit health and welfareĀ councils are providing such needed planning and coordination, it is in theĀ public interest to authorize counties to appropriate funds for the purpose ofĀ helping to defray expenses incurred by such health and welfare councils in theĀ provision of these services.
