The votes cast for or against the adoption of sections 40:37-96 to 40:37-174Ā of this title shall be counted, returned, certified and canvassed in the mannerĀ provided by the laws relating to elections, and the county clerk shall file aĀ tabulated statement of the number of votes so cast together with hisĀ certificate thereon, in his office, there to remain of record.
