40:43-24.Ā  Special acts repealed on incorporation;Ā  rights thereunder unaffected Any charter or special act in force within any municipality, any portion ofĀ  which shall be included within such newly created municipality, shall be of noĀ  further effect within such newly created municipality, and as to it, shall beĀ  deemed to be, from the time of its incorporation, repealed, but, such repealĀ  shall not operate to affect any rights which shall have been acquired under orĀ  by said charter or special act.
