40:43-25.2.Ā  Adoption of ordinances by reference;Ā  procedure All provisions of law relating to the adoption, approval and advertisement of ordinances generally shall apply to the ordinance or ordinances adopting such ordinance or ordinances by reference;Ā  but it shall not be necessary to publish or set forth at length the provisions of the ordinance or ordinances soĀ  adopted by reference;Ā  provided, that the ordinance or ordinances to be adoptedĀ  by reference is or are so described as to identify clearly the ordinance orĀ  ordinances referred to, and that there be stated in said adopting ordinanceĀ  that a copy of the ordinance or ordinances to be adopted by reference has beenĀ  filed in the office of the municipal clerk, there to remain for the use andĀ  examination of the public until final action is taken on said adoptingĀ  ordinance, and thereafter while the same shall be in effect if such ordinanceĀ  shall be adopted;Ā  and provided, that said copy of said ordinance or ordinancesĀ  so adopted by reference shall be and remain on file accordingly.
