40:56-16.Ā Choice of paving materials;Ā advertisement for bids; hearing
The governing body, in any ordinance for the paving of a street or highway,Ā may designate two or more kinds of material to be used, and may advertise forĀ proposals for the work of making such improvement with each of the materials soĀ designated.Ā The governing body after receiving such proposals may determineĀ which of the materials shall be used.Ā The governing body may solicit bids forĀ any such work before the final passage of the improvement ordinance andĀ announce the same at any hearing accorded under such ordinance to personsĀ interested.
