40:60-28.1.Ā Riparian lands purportedly dedicated as street;Ā sale when notĀ needed
Whenever any municipality has received, or shall hereafter receive, title toĀ riparian lands of which there has been a purported dedication as a public street and said lands have not been dedicated or opened as a street nor the purported dedication thereof as a street accepted by the municipality because of a relocation of such purported dedicated street by the making and filing of new maps of real estate development showing such relocation and showing such riparian lands as numbered lots in such development, the municipality, when theĀ governing body thereof shall have determined that said lands are not needed forĀ public use, may by resolution provide for the sale of such lands, subject toĀ the terms and conditions of the grant under which title to such riparian landsĀ was conveyed by the State, at such prices and on such terms and conditions asĀ said governing body may determine and sell such lands accordingly.
