40:65-6.Ā  Notice of improvement unnecessary where notice of ordinance given The governing body may make any sidewalk improvement, or award a contract orĀ  contracts therefor, without giving the notice required by sections 40:65-2 toĀ  40:65-5 of this title, if notice of the pendency of the ordinance providing forĀ  the improvement be given to the owners of the real estate affected thereby, inĀ  the same manner as provided in said sections 40:65-2 to 40:65-5, and a hearingĀ  be given to all persons interested in the proposed improvement at the time andĀ  place stated in the notice and before passage of the ordinance.Ā  The noticeĀ  shall be served or published ten days prior to the day fixed for the hearing.
