40:66A-37.Ā Acquisition of incinerators;Ā treatment plants or works
Every solid waste management authority is hereby authorized and directed, subject to the limitations of this act, to acquire, in its own name but for theĀ local unit or units, by purchase, gift, condemnation or otherwise, and notwithstanding the provisions of any charter, ordinance or resolution of any county or municipality to the contrary, to construct, maintain, operate and useĀ such incinerators, treatment plants or works at such places and such otherĀ plants, structures, property and conveyances, as in the judgment of the solidĀ waste management authority will provide an effective and satisfactory methodĀ for promoting the purposes of the solid waste management authority.
