Any municipality may provide for and employ all officers, agents, engineersĀ and employees needed to carry out the powers given by this chapter, andĀ prescribe their duties, powers and authority, fix their salaries and compensation and their terms of office and employment and the method of appointment and employment, removal, suspension or discharge.
