40:69A-38.Ā Municipal clerk;Ā duties
The council shall appoint a municipal clerk, who shall serve as clerk of theĀ council, keep its minutes and records of its proceedings, maintain and compileĀ its ordinances and resolutions as this act requires, and perform such functionsĀ as may be required by law.Ā The municipal clerk shall, prior to his appointment, have been qualified by training or experience to perform the duties of the office.
