43:21-12.4a.Ā Agreement with United States Secretary of Labor regarding payment of unemployment compensation to veterans
The Division of Employment Security is authorized to enter into an agreementĀ with the United States Secretary of Labor under Title IV of the Veterans'Ā Readjustment Assistance Act of one thousand nine hundred and fifty-two (PublicĀ Law 550, 82nd Congress, 66 Stat. 663), entitled "Unemployment Compensation forĀ Veterans of Service On and After June 27, 1950,"Ā whereby the division, asĀ agent of the United States, will, in accordance with the provisions of saidĀ Title, make payments of unemployment compensation to veterans as thereinĀ defined, and will otherwise co-operate with the Secretary of Labor and withĀ other State agencies in making such payments;Ā provided, however, that allĀ costs and expenses incurred, as well as all funds to make payments of suchĀ unemployment compensation shall be provided by Federal funds and shall notĀ devolve upon the State of New Jersey; and further providedĀ , thatĀ subsection (f) of section 43:21-5 of the Revised Statutes shall be inapplicableĀ with respect to such benefits so paid.
