44:1-119.Ā  Written notice of removal
When the removal of a poor person from the place of his domicile or where heĀ  is found to the place of his settlement is lawful and necessary, it shall beĀ  inaugurated by means of a written notice signed by such official to the officerĀ  having jurisdiction in the place to which the person is to be removed, if theĀ  removal is to be to a municipality in the county;Ā  if otherwise, then theĀ  county adjuster shall act for the overseer forthwith on the application of orĀ  notice from the overseer, except as otherwise provided by law, that on a dayĀ  certain not less than ten nor more than twelve days after the date and mailingĀ  of the notice an order will be made by the removing overseer, or, if theĀ  removal is outside the county, by the county adjuster, that the poor person beĀ  removed to the place of his settlement, stating the reasons therefor, the placeĀ  of his settlement or the place where he became poor prior to his becoming anĀ  inhabitant of the municipality from whence he is to be removed.
