44:4-26.Ā  Board as manager of welfare-house When the board of chosen freeholders shall establish a county welfare-houseĀ  for the permanent maintenance and relief of the poor in any county and shallĀ  have acquired a site therefor, awarded contracts for the necessary building andĀ  improvements thereon, and resolved to maintain a county welfare-house as isĀ  provided in this chapter, the county welfare board shall constitute the boardĀ  of managers of such welfare-house.Ā  As such board of managers the countyĀ  welfare board shall have charge of all matters relating to the government,Ā  discipline, contracts and fiscal concerns of the welfare-house as appropriatedĀ  by the chosen freeholders, and shall make such rules and regulations as may beĀ  necessary for carrying out the purposes of such welfare-house.
