44:4-62.Ā  Persons from outside of United States Nothing in this chapter shall apply to or affect any person from outside theĀ  United States of America, or in any way change the rights or liabilities ofĀ  such persons as conferred or imposed by any law of the United States, nor theĀ  right otherwise conferred by law to deport or remove such persons to any otherĀ  state wherein such person still retains, or may have acquired, a settlementĀ  according to the laws of any state or country, and in all such cases noĀ  settlement shall be deemed to have been acquired within this state.
