44:4-86.Ā  Investigation and supervision by welfare board The county welfare board shall:

a.Ā  Investigate every application for relief;

b.Ā  Supervise by periodic visitation every person receiving such relief;

c.Ā  Devise ways and means for bringing persons unable to maintain themselvesĀ  to self-support;Ā  and

d.Ā  Keep full and complete records of such investigation, supervision, relief and rehabilitation.
