45:7-48.  Only a single license to be issued to any applicant The board shall grant only a single license as a practitioner of mortuary science to any applicant, and any person shall hold a license as a practitioner  of mortuary science issued under the provisions of this act before being  permitted to practice mortuary science or embalming or funeral directing in  this State.
