45:9-27.17. Physician's responsibility for assistantĀ
8.Ā a.Ā A physician may delegate to a physician assistant under his supervision only those procedures identified in section 7 of this act.Ā
Ā b. Any physician who permits a physician assistant under his supervision to practice contrary to the provisions of this act shall be deemed to have engaged in professional misconduct in violation of subsection e. of section 8 of P.L.1978, c.73 (C.45:1-21) and shall be subject to disciplinary action by the board pursuant to P.L.1978, c.73 (C.45:1-14 et seq.);Ā
Ā c. In the performance of a medical procedure, a physician assistant shall be conclusively presumed to be the agent of the physician under whose supervision the physician assistant is performing.Ā
