46:20-2.Ā Sequence of index entries
The county recording officer of each county shall index all deeds and otherĀ instruments of the nature or description set forth in section 46:16-1 of thisĀ title in the order in which he shall receive them;Ā but if two or more suchĀ deeds or instruments shall be offered to or come into his hands at one and theĀ same time to be recorded, he shall index the same according to the priority ofĀ their dates.
