46:31-5.Ā  Violations of chapter;Ā  misdemeanor Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this chapter, except sections 46:31-1 and 46:31-6 of this title, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not less than twenty-five nor more than fifty dollars for the first offense, and not less than fifty nor moreĀ  than two hundred dollars for each subsequent offense.
