48:8-5.Ā Refusal to or delay in carrying passengers or goods; exception
Every ferryman shall give constant and diligent attendance to his ferry, andĀ shall not deny or unnecessarily delay the carrying over any passenger, horses,Ā cattle, vehicles or goods under the penalty of three dollars for every suchĀ offense.Ā He shall also be liable to an action for damages, at the suit of theĀ party aggrieved.
This section shall not require a ferryman to put off from his wharf or shoreĀ when it is manifestly hazardous so to do.
