5:5-50.Ā Permit and compliance with statute as condition precedent to horseĀ race meeting
No person, partnership, association or corporation shall hold or conduct, orĀ assist, aid or abet in holding or conducting any meeting within the State ofĀ New Jersey whereat horse race meetings shall be permitted for any stake, purseĀ or reward whereat pari-mutuel betting is licensed, except and unless suchĀ person, partnership, association or corporation shall first comply with theĀ provisions of this act and be granted a permit by the commission to conduct aĀ horse race meeting as provided by this act.
