52:14-13.Ā Insanity of state officer to vacate office
Whenever an officer of this state or a member of a state board or commissionĀ appears to be insane and is committed to an institution for the insane pursuantĀ to law, the commission or appointment of such officer or member shall becomeĀ vacated and void, and a vacancy shall thereupon exist in such office, the sameĀ as though the officer or member had resigned or died.
