52:17B-9.7.Ā Missing Persons Unit;Ā establishment;Ā supervisor and other personnel;Ā appointment;Ā compensation
There is established within the Department of Law and Public Safety in the Division of State Police a Missing Persons Unit.Ā The Superintendent of State Police shall appoint a supervisor of the unit with the rank and pay of at leastĀ a lieutenant in the New Jersey State Police, any other personnel, with theĀ equivalent rank and pay of their positions in the New Jersey State Police, andĀ any civilian personnel, including local law enforcement personnel, which heĀ deems necessary to carry out the provisions of this act. All persons assignedĀ to the Missing Persons Unit shall devote their full-time duties to carrying outĀ the provisions of this act.
