52:27B-41.Ā  Secretary of State to notify banks of termination of power of State Treasurer and commissioner The Secretary of State shall, when the offices of State Treasurer and commissioner or either of them shall become vacant or the officers or either ofĀ  them shall no longer be authorized to act as such, respectively, give writtenĀ  notice forthwith to all national banks located in this State and institutionsĀ  authorized by the State to carry on a banking business of such vacancy orĀ  termination of power.Ā  No bank shall thereafter pay any check or draft of theĀ  State Treasurer, signed or countersigned by any person after his office shallĀ  become vacant or after he shall no longer be authorized to act.
