52:27BB-51.Ā Duty of local officers
An officer of a municipality or county who is charged with duties pertainingĀ to fiscal administration shall keep accounts and in other respects perform hisĀ duties in accordance with the regulations promulgated by the board.Ā An officerĀ who wilfully violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.Ā UponĀ conviction he shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) norĀ more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or imprisoned not less than tenĀ days nor more than one year, or both;Ā and shall in addition forfeit hisĀ office.
