52:27D-18.Ā  Division of local government continued as division of local finance The Division of Local Government in the Department of the Treasury, togetherĀ  with all of its functions, powers and duties, is continued, but such divisionĀ  is transferred to and constituted the Division of Local Finance in theĀ  Department of Community Affairs established hereunder.Ā  The Local GovernmentĀ  Board of the Division of Local Government in the Department of the Treasury andĀ  all of its functions, powers and duties are hereby transferred to the DivisionĀ  of Local Finance established hereunder in the Department of Community Affairs. Such board shall henceforth be known as the Local Finance Board, and shallĀ  continue to have all of the powers and shall exercise all of the functions andĀ  duties heretofore vested in, or imposed upon, it by law. This act shall notĀ  affect the terms of office of the present members of such board.Ā  Such boardĀ  shall continue to be constituted and the members thereof shall continue to beĀ  appointed as provided by existing law.Ā  Any member of such board may be removedĀ  from office by the Governor, for cause, upon notice and opportunity to be heard.
