52:27-58.  Auditors and assistants;  expenses limited    For the purpose of enabling the commission to carry out this article, the commission shall have power to employ an auditor and such other assistants, legal, clerical or otherwise, and to fix their duties, terms of service and compensation and to incur such other expenses as it may deem necessary, but no expenses (other than expenses directly attributable to the school district such  as the costs of issuing the obligations of the school district and the costs of  audit) shall be incurred exceeding ten thousand dollar ($10,000.00) for any one  school district in any fiscal year of such school district without the consent  of a judge of the Superior Court.
