52:35-7.Ā Rejection of bid upon subsequent developments affecting bidder's responsibility
Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed as depriving any stateĀ official of the right to reject a bidder at any time prior to the actual awardĀ of a contract, where there have been developments subsequent to theĀ qualification and classification of such bidder, which in the opinion of theĀ awarding official would affect the responsibility of the bidder.Ā Before takingĀ final action on any such bid, the state official concerned shall notify theĀ bidder and give him an opportunity to present any additional information whichĀ might tend to substantiate the existing classification.
