54:4-73.Ā Collector's monthly report;Ā payments to municipal treasurer
The collector, or other officer having custody of collected taxes, shall, onĀ the first day of each month or oftener if required by the governing body of theĀ municipality, report his collections to the governing body of the municipality,Ā and pay the amount collected to the treasurer or other official of theĀ municipality authorized to receive the same.Ā If the collector shall also beĀ the treasurer of the municipality, he shall immediately upon collection depositĀ all moneys collected, in the name of the municipality to his account asĀ treasurer in the place designated by the governing body of the municipality.
